The terrorist attack has killed 22 people and injured another 50. The PES deplores this senseless loss of life.
PES president Sergei Stanishev said:
“This indiscriminate attack on young people enjoying a night out is heartless. We are shaken and saddened by this brutality. Our thoughts are with the young victims and their families.
“We praise the work of the rescue teams and the British authorities. We hope the UK investigators and anti-terror services will find and bring the perpetrators to justice. We expect all European securty agencies to provide their British colleages with all information they can.
Today all of Europe stands united with the British people.”
